At Masterdec, all doorsets are manufactured to order and delivered throughout mainland UK using specialist transport providers.
This page provides information regarding lead times, deliveries, site access requirements and important information that customers should consider before placing an order.
LEAD TIMES
TYPICAL LEAD TIME: 10-14 WORKING DAYS
Masterdec doorsets are manufactured specifically to the dimensions and specifications provided at the time of order.
Our standard manufacturing lead time is typically:
10-14 working days
Lead times may vary depending on:
• Product type
• Quantity ordered
• Finish requirements
• Project requirements
• Material availability
• Seasonal demand
Where specific delivery requirements exist, customers are encouraged to contact our team before placing an order.
MANUFACTURED TO ORDER
All Masterdec doorsets are manufactured to order and are not held in stock.
This ensures that every doorset is produced to the required dimensions, certification requirements and selected specification.
As products are manufactured specifically for each customer:
Made-to-measure, bespoke and customised products are non-returnable and non-refundable once manufacture has commenced.
Customers should therefore carefully check:
• Dimensions
• Handing
• Fire rating
• Hardware selections
• Finishes
• Delivery information
prior to confirming an order.
DELIVERY METHOD
All Masterdec doorsets are delivered using specialist delivery vehicles.
Deliveries are made on a:
KERBSIDE DELIVERY BASIS
This means goods will be delivered to the nearest safe and accessible location at the delivery address.
Drivers are unable to:
• Carry products into buildings
• Deliver to upper floors
• Move products through occupied properties
• Transport goods upstairs
• Position products within individual apartments
• Remove packaging materials
Suitable labour and equipment should be available on site to receive, move and store the goods following delivery.
SITE ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
Customers must ensure that adequate access is available for large delivery vehicles.
Please notify Masterdec before delivery if the site includes:
• Narrow access roads
• Height restrictions
• Weight restrictions
• Restricted unloading areas
• Limited vehicle access
• City centre restrictions
• Construction site delivery controls
Failure to provide suitable access may result in additional delivery charges or delays.
UNLOADING RESPONSIBILITIES
The customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable arrangements are in place for unloading and moving goods from the delivery point.
Masterdec recommends that sufficient labour and equipment are available prior to delivery.
Doorsets can be large, heavy and difficult to manoeuvre without appropriate handling arrangements.
INSPECTION ON DELIVERY
All goods should be inspected immediately upon delivery.
Customers should check:
• Quantity
• Product type
• Dimensions
• Visible damage
• Packaging condition
Any visible shortages, damage or discrepancies should be reported immediately.
Any concealed damage must be reported to Masterdec within 48 hours of delivery.
Goods should not be installed, altered or modified before any reported issue has been investigated.
STORAGE OF GOODS
Prior to installation, doorsets should be stored:
• In a clean and dry environment
• Protected from moisture and adverse weather
• Clear of standing water
• Away from sources of heat or excessive humidity
• In accordance with good trade practice
Improper storage may affect product performance and warranty protection.
DELIVERY DELAYS
Whilst every effort is made to achieve agreed delivery dates, all delivery dates are estimates only.
Masterdec shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances outside of its reasonable control, including:
• Traffic delays
• Severe weather
• Vehicle breakdowns
• Supplier delays
• Force majeure events
• Site access restrictions
